Urban Decay Perversion 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil is Black Black

Just when I thought I had enough Urban Decay 24/7 liners (seriously love these for being super creamy, pigmented, AND waterproof), here they come with yet another liner added to the permanent line. Sure 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion ($19) actually made its debut over the holidays in a gift set, but I didn’t bite because the set included colors I’d never use (i.e. I’m 30—what would I do with bright pink eyeliner?). But it finally hit Sephora stores and thee second I saw it on display, I promptly picked one up and headed to the cashier.

Perversion boasts being a blackest-black matte liner and well, they ain’t lying. It’s the type of black that you find on your hands after you change a tire and since it’s waterproof, it won’t budge. I got a full day’s wear on both the top and bottom waterline without smudging or fading. Sweeeeeet.

Now why would you want a super black liner? It’s great for intense eye makeup looks and the contrast helps make the whites of the eyes seem whiter so you look more alert.

In comparison to other liners I love, Perversion definitely takes the cake as the blackest. It’s not showing up in the swatches below, but there is a difference between Perversion and Zero (Perversion is about two shades darker). It’s similar in color to Too Faced Lava Gloss but Perversion is matte and waterproof. Covergirl Queen Collection Vivid Impact Liner in Midnight comes pretty close, but Perversion is more matte and a smidge darker.

Bottom line: If you’re looking for a really black matte liner, this is one you definitely want to try.
