Esum’s X51 Large Round Powder Brush Just Might the Softest Fluffy Brush I’ve Ever Come Across

I typically tend to avoid large fluffy powder brushes because most I’ve tried tend to irritate my skin. One time in my haste to get ready I grabbed one instead of my usual MAC #187 brush to set my powder and within an hour I started to get little bumps on my cheeks. They go away, but who wants to walk around with little bumps on your face?

So as I was going through my press bag I received from The Makeup Show LA, I came across Esum’s X51 Large Round Powder Brush. It’s tapered and fluffy so while it might look scary to use to apply blush, the way the bristles are packed it’s practically impossible to OD unless of course you’re REALLY heavy handed. It’s also great for applying powder and when I tell you it’s likely the softest brush my face has ever come across, SERIOUSLY! It’s like silk! My blog homey Krissy from Addicted to All Things Pretty (who was my compadre for The Makeup Show LA) joked that it must be made out of baby hairs. Ha!

There’s a little sticker shock though as this baby is $80. If the fact that it’s made with fine goat hairs persuades you any, then definitely have at it. But for me, I can’t say I’ve yet come across such a suave alternative at a lesser price tag so I’d bite the bullet and give her a debit card swipe if there were no such thing as a MAC #187.

Have you ever tried an Esum brush? What were your thoughts?

LOL! I have ZERO sense, Mimi…lol. Have you tried the MAC 187? You can use it to apply moisturizer, liquid foundation, powder foundation, blush, highlighter, bronzer, etc. SO amazing. This Esum brush is also pretty awesome (I wouldn’t use it to apply moisturizer though).

      Hope this helps!
