Over the weekend my blogger pals (The Baby Shopaholic, The Fashionista Next Door, Lexi with the Curls, and Jessica from Glamazons Blog) and I hosted a fab fall makeup event at NARS Nordstrom Perimeter in Atlanta. Guests were treated to mini makeup makeovers based on five looks curated by each of us, one-on-one time with NARS artists, and of course a heck of a time because I mean, when my girls and I get together AND there’s makeup involved—there’s nothing else to do but to have a fab time :)
Have I ever mentioned how much Georgia is a second home to me? My family moved to GA back in 2004 and I’ve been coming to visit every year since but because of blogging I’ve made so many great friends in the area. Not to get all sappy but these girls are people I talk to EVERY SINGLE DAY about everything and I’m so happy to have them in my life. *tear drop*
Haha—let’s get into the makeup!
I’ve LOVED NARS ever since one of the first times I stepped foot into a Sephora store back in like 2002 when I bought my first blush (Outlaw) and eye shadow duo (Earth Angel). Since then I’ve accumulated quite the collection—I own at least five more eyeshadow duos, practically the entire Night series single shadow collection, and at least 10 blushes. I also love them because they offer a wide range of makeup shades that suit every skin tone AND any makeup style. The artists at the Nordstrom Perimeter counter did a great job on the makeup on our guests—even when looks called for lots of color, it still looked natural and not overdone.
The five looks our guests got to choose from were…
The Style and Beauty Doctor: bold cheeks (Seduction blush) with a golden highlight on the tops of the cheekbones (South Beach Multiple) and bold lips (Train Bleu Velvet Matte Lip Pencil mixed with Dragon Girl Velvet Matte Lip Pencil
The Fashionista Next Door: color on the cheeks AND lips—it was the most popular look of the event with just about 75% of guests requesting it and featured Schiap lipstick
The Curly Girl: very natural look with just a slight pop of color on the bottom waterline (Abbey Road Larger Than Life Eye Pencil—perfect for the girl who doesn’t want a ton of steps in her routine
The Baby Shopaholic: gorgeous smoky eye (Pandora eyeshadow duo) with soft cheek (Orgasm blush) and nude lip
The Glamazon: cat eye with matching red lip and cheek (Seduction blush, Cruella Velvet Matte Lip Pencil)
The event was just too much fun! It was exactly what it would be like if this blog were live and we all went makeup shopping at the same time…lol. Plus I got to meet some great ladies who have read this blog for a long time—ahhh it was just so heart-warming. Thanks everyone who came out and made it such a great day :)
(Awww—my 10 year old nephew took this photo of me :)
I wore: BCBGMAXAZRIA Andres blazer, H&M dress worn as a tank (forgot my tanks in NYC for some reason), Gap boyfriend shorts, and the Topshop booties I bought when I was in Chicago.
P.S. I’m hosting another makeup event in NYC in September! I’ll fill you in on all the details and such as soon as I can :)

This looks so fun! Everyone looks great! I’ll have my eye out for the NY event!
Oh can’t wait for the NYC one! I’m assuming all of the NYC blogger participants have been selected (wink..wink)…lol. Anyway, looks like a great event. I loved all of the looks!
You almost made me shed a tear! We had a lot of fun! It was a real life blog!
