We’re onto the reds! These aren’t even all the reds I used in the series—I couldn’t fit them all in this slot of ten so there will be more coming soon. Red is definitely my go-to color—particularly a matte blue-red but I made sure to include shades I don’t wear very often including orange-reds. If you missed Part 1 and 2 and/or don’t want to miss Part 4 and 5, make sure you bookmark 50 Shades of Lipstick. And if you love this series, please feel free to share with your friends via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc. but please make sure you tag me and link back to this post. Oh and again, my bad on the big ole ignant “watermark.” Like I explained in the last post, I had a blogger steal 37 of my blog posts once (and then she entered “her” blog with all my content into an Allure UK beauty blogger contest smh) so it’s my anti-theft system…lol.
All of these were taking in one sitting and by this point my lips were REALLY on fire :x And since reds tend to stain the lips, I had to really get all the remnants off with a mix of makeup wipes, LUSH Lip Scrub, and gentle prayers to Jesus.
Anyway—onto the reds! As always if you have a question about anything, leave me a comment :)
Hourglass Opaque Rouge in Icon, a matte red-blue (goes on like a gloss but dries matte)
MAC Chili, a matte brick orange red
MAC Dangerous, a retro matte orange with a teeny tiny touch of red
MAC Relentlessly Red, a retro matte pinky red
MAC RiRi Woo, a retro matte blue-red
MAC Ruby Woo, a retro matte blue-red
Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge #8, a waterproof orange-red (goes on like a gloss and dries matte)
Sleek MakeUP Matte Me in Rioja Red, a matte orange-red (goes on like a gloss and dries matte)
Stila Long Wear Liquid Lipstick in Fiery, a matte blue-red (goes on like a gloss and dries matte)
Tarte LipSurgence Natural Matte Tint in Fiery, a matte blue-red (super comfy matte)
The makeup in all of these pics in the series is exactly the same—if you want to see what my MUA friend Mila Thomas used on me, check out this post.
Photos by the wonderful Nas of Nasilele Photography (she has a studio in Brooklyn and also travels) so if you need a photog for weddings, family portraits, head shots, or just because definitely check her out :)

Very pretty. The color really pops and you can definitely see the undertones in it.

I love this series. I wonder if your friend Nasilele could work some magic on me?
I am loving that Stila…
Can you see a difference between RiRi Woo and Ruby Woo. I happened to get RiRi Woo the first time it came out, which was funny b/c I had no interest and just happened to be on the website the day it came out and put one in my cart, but I’m curious, since it is limited edition, if I’ll miss it or will Ruby Woo feel/look the same.
You got my on that kick with your Ruby Woo/Prince Noir/Nightmoth look. I’ve been rocking it for ages now.
Stila is my new fave!

Really depends on my mood..lol. I can tend to wear the same color over and over again (like I did with Ruby Woo) and then get tired of it and move onto something else. But blue-based reds like the Stila, Ruby Woo, Tarte Fiery tend to be my fave type of reds though I also really loved Sleek MakeUP Matte Me in Rioja Red which has a slight orange undertone.
