Because I personally love picture posts (plus it gives me an excuse to not have to write much here…lol), I thought it’d be cool to take a look back on some of the things I’ve done in 2013 through the “eyes” of my Instagram account. OK—so first, Instagram is an AMAZING tool because I have a serious problem with keeping track of time. Don’t ask me what I did yesterday because I won’t remember—that’s one of the side effects of when you work on the internet—something done six hours ago seems like it happened last week. smh. But my Instagram account at least lets me remember some of the fun things I’ve done. Just the other day I was moping around feeling like I haven’t done much of anything (stupid PMS will have you thinking all sorts of mess) and when compiling the pictures for this post, I see I’ve actually done some really cool things—I was on TV again for a makeover segment where I gave a woman who lost everything in Sandy a hot new look, I got my first story published in print for Cosmopolitan for Latinas, got to work The Best Man Holiday red carpet in LA, and just last weekend got a shout out from Jay-Z at the Magna Carta World Tour concert in Atlanta (check it out here and here). Of course this is not to brag AT ALL because that’s so not my bag, but I’m still in awe of all the things I’ve been able to do since quitting my job in finance back in 2010. I mean, I’m not dropping secret albums and going on world tour, but I used to cry Sunday nights because Monday morning at work at a job I couldn’t stand was eminent and now I’m my own boss *pops collar*
This just goes to show that you, my dear pals who read this blog, YOU hold the keys to unlocking your own future. Or some really great metaphoric line like that ;)
Anyway, here’s my 2013 in pics!
Can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2014 :D
Great pics! Best wishes for the new year Danielle!

thanks, Lorie!
Wonderful pics Danielle. I so, so, so, understand what you mean about Sunday to Monday mornings. 2014 I will be taking the plunge — timing it all out. Congratulations in all that you have achieved thus far. I know the best is yet to come. 2014 cyah hold we back (Trini accent). Praying and planning.
