Miami Beach’s Dream Hotel May Be for Lovers

When the NYC winter gets rough, the rough gets themselves on a plane and hits South Beach courtesy of Beautiful Textures, who held an exclusive Ultimate Beauty Getaway to a group of beauty editors, bloggers, vloggers, and socialites to celebrate the launch of their new Texture Manageability System (more scoop on this later). Though Miami Beach was experiencing a bit of a drop in temps than what they usually expect this time of year, guess who wasn’t complaining? ;)

Our group stayed at the Dream Hotel at 1111 Collins Ave—walking distance from great Miami dining, shopping on Collins and on Lincoln Rd., Wet Willie’s, and of course the beach! The rooms are very sexy—down to the see-through bathroom and shower doors and the blue mood lighting. Perfect if you’re on a romantic weekend with your significant other and want the sensual ambiance (like the really, and I mean REALLY loud amorous couple staying in the room right next to mine). Not so much if you’re trying to make sure your highlight/contour is probably blended. Thankfully though if you find the lighting controls to be extremely confusing (like I did) you can call the front desk to see if you can request a lamp so you’re not leaving your room looking like Lil Kim.

Then there’s the hotel’s rooftop—totally sexy. You can relax by the pool as you sip cocktails (responsibly of course) and if you can’t seem to get your feet to move more than say the 15 feet to the lounge chairs, you can also order lunch from the hotel’s menu (which is actually really delicious—think hearty burgers, healthy salads, and comforting pasta).

And did I mention you’re within walking distance from like everything? Because you are! I took the opportunity to peruse Zara, H&M, and a few little shops along Collins and on Lincoln Rd. when there was some downtime in our itinerary. The staff was really friendly and I really enjoyed my time there. A night’s stay averages around $300-400.

Have you visited South Beach? Where did you stay and what was it like? Tell me in the comments!
