Major props to all the personal style bloggers out there making thangs happen with regular outfit posts without letting environmental factors get in the way. That stuff is work, kid! It’s not that I don’t like clothes or getting dressed–I live for some good fashion. But I don’t get dressed everyday—I get up, head to the computer, shower, and probably put back on the same t-shirt I went to bed in. And when I do get dressed, I’m likely 15 minutes behind schedule and running to get dressed with no time for documenting outfits.
But last week I spent the day at my friend Nas of Nasilele Photography‘s studio working on some really cool projects and I was like “Meh—I’m dressed—might as well get a few shots outside.” Um, it was COLD as ice out there…lol. So after like 90 seconds I was ready to go back inside to be greeted by sweet warmth…lol.
Anyway, this is a pretty typical “Danielle” outfit. There are very few blazers I’ve met that I didn’t plot to try and buy and I stan for camo so hard I got a Gap coat my homey Baby Shopaholic picked up for me in ATL confiscated by Trinidadian customs last month…lol. Add some heels, shades, and a fun lip color and there’s me :)
There was a time not too long ago when mixed match wear was a no-no. So glad to see you young people adapted a style that we ole folks took for granted when we reached 65 and couldn’t distinguish the patterns on our clothes and threw things together…LOL. I remember mistakenly wearing a navy blue pants, thinking it was black, with a multi colored blouse and got so many snickers that I rushed back home to change the pants…and I wasn’t even 65 at that time. I like your style. Nobody wears it like you do!!!
I just noticed how your jacket blends with the graffiti on the wall. Great pics by Nasilele Photography.
TOO CUTE! Love the outfit… that jacket is FIYAH! Nice to see an outfit post from you!
I’m going to need to steal that jacket! Love this outfit!
