I have to say I’m very impressed with L.A. Girl Cosmetics—so far virtually everything I’ve tried has been great and the prices certainly can’t be beat. Only catch is they aren’t as easily accessible in stores—I’m sure I could find places that sell it in this grand city of New York, but I just order online for my sanity…lol. Next up is the L.A. Girl Beauty Brick in Nudes which strikes quite the resemblance to Urban Decay Naked 3.
So L.A. Girl Beauty Brick in Nudes features 12 gorgeous rosy-toned neutrals in a palette that looks very similar to the Urban Decay Naked palettes. The L.A. Girl Beauty Brick palette packaging itself is kind of flimsy but that doesn’t take away from how good the shadows are. This palette has the same amount of shimmer shades (9) and matte shades (3) as the Urban Decay Naked 3. And on first glance they all look pretty similar to Naked 3—they’re not all exactly the same but similar enough.
Quality on the L.A. Girl Beauty Brick in Nudes is surprisingly good for the price ($9). You’ll of course need a base to ensure long-lasting wear but when I tested these like I do with all eyeshadows, I tested without a base and these held up well for close to 5 hours without one. There was some fading but the shadows didn’t completely disappear. You of course want to wear a base. Like Naked 3 the shadow shades are suitable for all skin tones.
The pigmentation on Urban Decay Naked 3 is more intense—there’s something about how soft and creamy Urban Decay shadows feel and the palette itself is much more durable.

Bottom line: Obviously you’re not getting the same quality shadows in the L.A. Girl Beauty Brick Nudes as you would in Urban Decay Naked 3, but if you’re on a serious beauty budget or just can’t fathom paying $54 for an eyeshadow palette, this one is really nice for $9. Of course again it’s not the same quality as the Urban Decay Naked 3 but it’s an affordable option.
Price and where to buy: L.A. Girl Beauty Brick Nudes is $9 at lagirlusa.com. See widget below for UD Naked:

$9?!! YASSSS!!??? My budget can work with that price point very nicely! It’s good to know there’s quality products out there for all price points.
Seriously jonesing for every LA girl product you’ve posted on for the last few posts.Love their selection for brown girls. But I missed the 40% off you mentioned earlier and now I can’t bring myself to purchase without the discount….
I love l.a girl products…it sure works well without breaking the bank
