I’m so happy that BB creams come in so many shades now—particularly on the darker end of the spectrum. When they first came out I was all “meh” because they came in one maybe two shades of super light beige. But now brands are making BB and CC creams in all sorts of shades of chocolate and I feel as a chocolate-hued beauty blogger, it is my duty to report back on the ones I come across such as Black Radiance BB Cream.

Official info:
NEW True Complexion™ BB Cream, our first multi-purpose skin perfector, evens and refines darker complexions with 10 skin care benefits for natural looking radiance. Exclusively formulated to enhance ethnic skin tones, the lightweight, oil-free beauty balm moisturizes, conceals, primes, smoothes, and minimizes shine with blendable, sheer color and lasting SPF 15 protection.
Coverage on this will be VERY sheer. It’ll slightly even out the skin but you’ll still need concealer to cover things like under eye circles or dark spots. I liked that it had a natural looking radiance to it (but then that radiance started to turn into shine after like 2-3 hours on my oily skin—and it’s not even real spring weather yet). You’ll likely need to touch-up regularly if you have oily skin like me.
It comes in five shades and I wear shade Chocolate.
See what other shades I wear in foundation and concealer here.
You can still see the remnants of the hormonal pimple on my chin and the curling iron burn on my forehead so if you have similar discoloration, it’ll definitely still show with this BB cream unless you add concealer.
Bottom line: Good BB cream if you’re not looking for a ton of coverage—coverage on this is VERY sheer so it’ll still show any discoloration. I liked the performance but I’m currently at a beauty stage where I’m either wearing ZERO makeup or I’m completely beat and prefer much more coverage. Very rare that I do something in between these days so something like this wouldn’t fit into my routine and I’m not into using BB creams as a base before foundation because I prefer to just use my favorite foundations.
Price and where to buy: about $6. See the Black Radiance site to buy and for store locations.
Details on the lip color please :)

Oh boy. The Macy’s down the street from me carries them and I’ve purposely stayed away. Headed over now. Thanx Danielle!
I have this and I like it. I’ve only tried it once but it seems pretty decent. It looks nice on you too!
