So when I planned this outfit in my head, it was supposed to look a lot edgier than this. The top is a crop top and the skirt is “leather” plus I had some cool mules I planned on wearing with it. But then it was a lot colder out than it was supposed to be and I needed a coat and then the shoes I had in mind didn’t work so I swapped them out for these metallic pumps. I mean crop top and high waist leather skirt shouldn’t say “church” or “Michelle Obama” as much as it does here, but whatever…lol. I was already by Nas’ studio to have her photograph me so I figured #minuswell still post it as an Easter OOTD since Easter Sunday is this weekend.
By no means am I trying to say wear a pink leather skirt or a crop top to church.
But I love the top and the skirt paired together so I will be reworking them into something edgier when it gets warmer out and I can let a little bit of my torso peak out. Messier hair, different shoes, maybe different sunglasses (ohhhh check out my sunglasses stash video on my Youtube channel and subscribe to a playa!), and no coat. A girl isn’t built for taking outfit pics when it’s less than like 58 degrees out. After about 10 minutes I was like “CUT! That’s a WRAP” LOL
Not that I don’t love this look—it’s just a bit left field for my style. But that’s what makes fashion and getting dressed fun—trying out new things and learning how to rework if necessary. I’m in a bit of a style transition while I get back down to my pre-freelancing weight so I’m trying new things quite often these days but I bet I’ll come right back to my home of distressed boyfriend jeans and combat boots (or things with MAD holes in them). When I get to my goal fitness level, I’m going to treat myself to new wardrobe staples. Ohhh, I should do a video for that!

This turned out hella cute! Though I totally understand what it’s like to put something on and it doesn’t look nearly as cool as it did in my head. That drives me nuts! I’d say this outfit was a success though. I’d totally wear it!

thanks! Yes, I like the look but it’s left field for me and not how I intended it to look. I’ll definitely restyle it another time. Like this look is great for something dressier than what I had in mind.
I know this may not have been what you were aiming for but girl you still look all kinds of swexy in that outfit. That shirt is loving your chesticles ma’am!! Let them flourish!
I’m curious what you were aiming for b/c you look all kinds of amazing and I’m sad I didn’t get myself a pink “leather” skirt when they were around!

Andrea!!!!
Hey girl hey!
I tried explaining what I was going for in the post but I’ll just restyle the outfit later and post pics…lol. It was supposed to look edgier even with the pastel colors.
My bad, i was too on busy thinking “dang she fahn” and being jealous and i missed that you meant to be edgy. But it’s all levels right. Since you do boots and moto jackets this is softer looking for your baseline but for someone like me, it would probably count. As much as we see your personal style this looks so good on you i forget sometimes.
