I’m starting to think I may have a teeny problem…lol. I swear I get hooked on something and it’s all I think about and buy…lol. I was like this during my red lipstick phase and I guess you can say I’m still in a nude lip color phase. I did a Youtube video on some of the nudes from my stash (watch it here) AND I’ve done countless posts on nude lip colors for dark skin (read them here). Yet here I am—with three MORE nude lip colors for dark skin that I recently bought. But in my defense, these are new and have a really nice opaque formula…lol.
Anastasia Beverly Hills recently launched new lipgloss shades and three looked like really pretty nudes so I jumped on buying them. I’ve reviewed Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Glosses here and really love that they are full-on color, opaque with some shine, and long-lasting. Happy to report I feel the same way about these—and that they’re also pretty long-lasting, too (typically darker and brighter shades last longer since they leave a stain of color on the lips but even these nudes go the distance).

The rule of thumb when looking for nude lip colors for dark skin is to look for shades that are brownish-pink, or pinky brown, or mauvey-pink in color. That’s how I was able to buy these without seeing them in person and without seeing swatches on anyone near my skin tone.
Here’s what I got:
Kristen: a rosy pink (but it’s also a little mauvey-pinky)
Sepia: a browny rosy pink
Fudge: a browny rose

Bottom line: I LOVE these. But if you have similarly colored nudes in similar formulas, save your cash.
Price and where to buy: $16 each at anastasiabeverlyhills.com (but these should show up soon at Macy’s)
OOh! I like all but I think fudge is my fav. Gonna try it!
Just go on ahead and send Sepia my way!! These all look gorgeous on you and they look like easy peasy shades to keep in your bag and just throw on midday.
I can see by just your face how much you’ve slimmed out! All that hard work is paying off. ????

I’m still waiting for sepia to come back in stock…
