Yes, I’m getting these up muuuuch later than I anticipated but see, what had happened was…lol. No for real, if I were to list out all the things I’ve done this month, you’d need a vacation just from reading it. I intended to have these swatches up before I left for Ecuador but I had a gazillion other things to do so I figured I’d get it done while I was away—especially since I already took all the pics. But nope. We barely had down time in Ecuador so that didn’t happen. Then when I got back I had my Face Flawless Skin Clinic event and tons of other obligations to complete. Meanwhile I have emails I haven’t read since I’ve been away, mail and packages I haven’t opened in a week (a week’s worth of unopened packages for me is like 2 months worth of mail for normal people) and my apartment looks like a tornado hit it. Calgon, take me away! :x
Anyway, I’m slowly digging my way out and am here with swatches of the NEW Cover FX Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation shade extensions.
So the Cover FX Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation isn’t one I reach for often (or at all) and it’s because this foundation is best for those with drier skin types. It gives a gorgeous dewy glow and covers well, but that dewy glow will translate into “Jermaine Jackson” on my oily skin in no time flat. I naturally get dewy anyway so I don’t need to add more dew…lol. But if you have normal to dry skin (or your skin tends to get a lot drier in the winter), this will be an amazing foundation for you. And even more so now that Cover FX launched MORE shades in the medium olive, deep golden brown, and very deep, rich chocolate tones.

I’m shade N110 in Cover FX, but now that they launched the new shades, I have more options to play around with for different looks. For instance I’ll add a little P110 in the Total Cover Cream Foundation (or I’ll set with the P110 Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation) to my look if I’m going to be on camera or have my photo taken. My undertones are neutral so for everyday N110 is my jam, but sometimes my neutral tones can look a little grey on camera so I need the added warmth that the P110 shade would give me. I also love that there’s tons more contour options now—I use N120 or P125 depending on the look I’m going for and find that P120 in the powder foundation makes for a nice matte bronzer shade to warm the perimeter of my face. See—options.
It’s almost important to remember that many women of color are NOT one uniform shade on the face—we typically tend to be lighter in the center of our face and darker around the perimeter—this means often times just ONE foundation shade WON’T cut it. This is why things like highlighting and contouring (it doesn’t always have to be extreme you know) are great for getting the most natural foundation look on women of color.

I am so happy to see these new shades. Hopefully my desert skin will appreciate this foundation. Thanks for the swatches. I am very glad to have stumbled upon your blog!
I’ve got to try them again , I never could find a match . I love the drops but I couldn’t find a foundation!
Do you think that G110 would be suitable for someone wearing Mac NC50?
Ooh I think I may have to try this next!! Although , I don’t want to have too many liquid foundations around lol. This brand really intrigues me – I have the pressed powder and like you said , it’s not powdery at all.

LOL—I say stuff like that (re: having too many liquid foundations) and then you know what happens? I have too many liquid foundations. SMH.
I picked this up based off of your review. I needed a new foundation.

Heyyy Kim!
Did you like it? I loved the finish of this foundation but it’s MUCH better for those with normal to dry skin.
