So much focus in skincare is on the face, but as I do from time to time, would like to borrow a lyric from hip-hop super group Wu-Tang Clan and remind you to protect your neck.
Why?
The neck and deck (décolletage) tend to show signs of aging pretty quickly. I mean, think about it—it’s often exposed the most to the sun and many of us are out doing the least to make sure it’s protected. Any time I think of not extending my skincare routine to below my chin, I think of that Magda character from There’s Something About Mary. Nothing gets you quicker on the act-right train than a vision of her leathery deck and sunburnt face :/
I bet you went and put some moisturizer on after seeing this…lol
Not going to lie, I once thought neck and deck creams were gimmicky—why not just use your facial moisturizer on those areas? But then necklines started to get lower and lower (and lower) and if not lower they certainly got more elaborate and who wants their face cream staining their favorite blouse or tee?
There are quite a number of neck creams on the higher end of the spectrum but if paying anything close to or over a three-digit price tag gives you pause, you’ll be happy to know that there’s now RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Chest, Neck & Face Cream with SPF 30. Like its name suggests you can use this on your chest, neck, AND face so it’s multitasking and thankfully also has an SPF of 30 to help protect from the sun’s rays and premature aging. As always with sunscreen make sure you apply liberally about 15 minutes before heading out and reapply every two hours if you’ll be out in the sun all day. You might also want to reapply after a few hours even if you’ve been sitting at your desk—sweat can break down the efficacy of sunscreen.
RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Chest, Neck & Face Cream with SPF 30 not only claims to help reduce five key signs of aging in the chest, neck, and face area over the span of four weeks (of consistent use, folks) but it also sinks into the skin quickly AND without residue so you don’t waste time waiting for it to dry. Your tees and blouses will also thank you.
It also promises to improve the appearance of sagging, dryness, dull skin tone, and wrinkles with an overall boost to radiance over time and with consistent use.
My chest area in general has been more temperamental than my face—I typically have breakouts there more than on my face (though adult acne on my face has caused that to even out some…lol) and then add the hyperpigmentation that pops up after the breakouts go away. Oh, and the hyperpigmentation as a result of the chest hairs (hey, it happens to the best of us after 30…lol). So in addition to the other treatments for acne and dark spots, I’ll be adding the RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Chest, Neck & Face Cream with SPF 30 to my routine to escape any future Magda-ness trying to trap me. I’ll report back later :)
In the meantime you can find RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Chest, Neck & Face Cream with SPF 30 at mass market retailers nationwide and at Walgreens.com for $27.99. Learn more about the necklace here.

Sounds wonderful. It looks so thick and lush! Great post and love the pics! xx
Lmao @ the Dave Chapelle gif! That just made me laugh so hard!! Lol anyway, you’re definitely right about many of us forgetting to protect our necks. The only time I apply a cream to my neck and chest is when I’m having an eczema breakout which isn’t nearly often enough. I may need to check this out though because I like that it has SPF since my current moisturizer doesn’t. I hear ROC is a good line so it’s time I check it out soon anyway!
I really liked this but I couldn’t get past the very strong old-lady perfume scent.

Ughh—I hate when I can’t stand the scent of a product I otherwise love :/ I didn’t notice the scent on the Roc neck cream after I applied the product though.
