By virtue of being a beauty addict and one who also writes about beauty for a living and receives TONS of new products every week, you can probably imagine that your girl is over here drowning in beauty. And it can happen pretty fast, too. If there’s a new foundation launch, I typically like to swatch all the deeper shades if I can. Or if there’s a new lipstick collection or eyeshadow palette or WHATEVER—after I’m done photographing and swatching, if there are items I can’t use (like a beige foundation or something) those go to family, friends, and charity. Since so much beauty here is in limbo, I never really had “cute” storage. Then I gave away about half of my personal stash (things I bought with my own money) and adopted a policy of immediately editing what comes in from brands and decided to start looking for some real makeup storage ideas aside from the plastic drawer things my mom got me like 8 years ago…lol.
So I got to plotting and searching through Pinterest and places like Target, Home Depot, Macy’s, H&M Home, and The Container Store and got some ideas on what I wanted to get. My theme was chic and stylish but not makeup storage-y. I wanted my makeup stash to look more like a Pinterest picture instead of the random explosion it looked like before. Plus over the years you guys have asked me for makeup storage ideas and here I am! Check out the video below to see it in action along with some tips.
