I first mentioned Mischo Beauty when I wrote about their Summer Splash Trio Launch a few weeks ago; you can read about it here. Well the team was nice enough to send over the three colors for me to try out, so in order to fulfill my duty as a Beauty Writer, I did! As I mentioned in my previous, the entire nail collection is vegan and cruelty-free and offers smooth, chip-resistant finishes.
When I first opened the polishes the vibrancy of the colors was astonishing, especially for having no chemicals in it. However, when I applied the first coat I was surprised to see how sheer it went on. This was soon gone after applying a second coat, but I could slightly still see my nail tip. There was no noticeable polish scent, which I was happy about and the colors seemed to dry fairly quickly, but I wasn’t ready for how watery the formula was. The watery consistency made it bit messy when applying so I’d suggest starting off with a light coat and going from there. The colors are beautiful and truly speak summer, but in order to truly get a good, bold finish, you might have to add on another coat. Now when it comes down to wear? Well, I have a top coat from Essie that I swear by (the Gel Setter, in case you were wondering) that I use all the time. My manicure chipped about four days in, which is a long time for me especially since I’m always using my nails. My pedicure was pretty much intact the entire week.

Marilyn – This pink hue was given the perfect name, because it yells “bombshell!” You can never go wrong with a bright pink in the summer and I loved how this one looked on me.
Jackie – Out of all the colors, this is the one I wasn’t feeling. The polish itself it a gorgeous turquoise, but I’d personally stray away from it because it didn’t wear well against my skin color. {This is Danielle chiming in to say Jade is BUGGIN’, this color looks AMAZING on her!!!!}
Billie – One word for this bright coral – obsessed! Unlike other orange/coral polishes I’ve tried, this one has the perfect undertones.
Would I recommend the Mischo Beauty Summer Splash Trio? Yes—they’re vegan, cruelty-free, and 8 FREE, and if you’re willing to pay the $18 price point.
All these colors look beautiful. I like how they pop without being overwhelming. By the way, your nails are gorgeous!
