So I’m always of the wear-pants-that-won’t-dig-into-your-stomach school of thought when it comes to Thanksgiving attire. If I were to still eat Thanksgiving at my family’s house in GA, I’d be at the table in sweatpants—because chances are I never left the house for the day…lol. I haven’t flown to GA for Thanksgiving in like five years so I actually leave the house and have Thanksgiving with my sister and nieces and then sometimes my dad (who doesn’t even celebrate holidays…lol) slides through acting like he’s not having Thanksgiving dinner. So I actually have to get dressed now.
Something like this is perfect for a Thanksgiving outfit: I’m wearing jeans that fit well but won’t cause me to pull out my inhaler after eating a turkey wing. My blouse is fashion-y but flowy and the ruffles can help to mask future food babies. The faux fur jacket and the booties help me look polished and put together even though I’ll be suffering from acute itis directly after my meal.

Outfit Details:
Jacket: H&M (old, get a similar one here)
Blouse: ASOS (this is a sheer blouse—I’m wearing a black long sleeve tee underneath)
Jeans: ASOS mom jeans (old, get a similar pair here—get it in Tall here and Plus here)
Boots: Zara (old)
Hair: Texturized Relaxed Straight from Temple Hair at Hairstyling by Joseph (the largest Black family-owned salon in the U.S.). My hair was installed, cut, and custom colored by Gabrielle Corney. You can see my previous review for this texture here. This time around I have some leave out in the front. I think my longest layer is 24″ followed by 20″ and then maybe an 18″ but I had the front cut to frame my face a week after I got it installed.
