I’m back with another holiday outfit idea! If you want to see more holiday including outfit ideas, gift guides, and more, keep tabs on the Holiday 2016 tab.
So about this look—I LOVE sequins. L-O-V-E sequins. BUT many times sequins don’t love me back. Certain pieces come in contact with my skin and it scratches and irritates the heck out of me. It’s almost like I’m allergic to sequins…lol. But I saw this sequin maxi skirt and really wanted a cool piece that would last me forever and could also be incorporated into looks outside of the holidays so I bit the bullet and ordered it. Thankfully since it’s a longer skirt piece it won’t come in contact with any exposed areas of my skin therefore it won’t harm me. And it’s just soooo gosh darn gorgeous. For this look I paired it with a long sleeve crop top, but you can style this a multitude of ways keeping balance and proportions in mind. We’ll talk about balance and proportions and other fashion topics in the future. Stay tuned for some upcoming styling videos on my Youtube channel.

Outfit Details:
Crop top: Missguided (old–shop a similar styles here)
Skirt: Boohoo via ASOS (shop similar styles: a less expensive version in multiple colors here, a midi length and under $20 one here, a short and pleated one here)
Shoes: Nine West (old–shop similar style here)
Hair: Texturized Relaxed Straight from Temple Hair at Hairstyling by Joseph (the largest Black family-owned salon in the U.S.). My hair was installed, cut, and custom colored by Gabrielle Corney. You can see my previous review for this texture here. This time around I have some leave out in the front. I think my longest layer is 24″ followed by 20″ and then maybe an 18″ but I had the front cut to frame my face a week after I got it installed.
Sequin is so perfect for the holiday. Love the look.
