Hey party people!
OK so my summer posting schedule is a bit sporadic but I AM posting, so make sure you’re subscribed to the blog so you get an email when new posts are up. But for today, we’re talking stylish comfy shoes so let’s go!
Shoes from my last comfy shoe post
Thanks to you guys leaving comments and double-tapping on social media, what started as a single post on the quest for stylish comfy shoes, is now a SERIES! Yassssssss So for as long as I can get shoe samples sent in to try out for this series, it shall go on.
Not giving up my heels, honey
Now, having this series doesn’t mean that I’ve gotten rid of all my other super high heels and “2-hour shoes.” I still have a huge space in my closet for those and of course will continue to rock them and will likely buy more.
Note: I bought most of these shoes with an Amazon.com gift card giving to me by Amazon. There are also some affiliate links used here which give me a small commission if you buy something. I use that money to buy more things that help keep this blog running (website hosting, makeup for reviews, programs, etc.).
So a brief update on the shoes from my last post: while the Dolce Vita sandals were SUPER cute and stylish, I did send them back. They just didn’t cut it for my “walk around all day” criteria since the sole was so thin. They would be nice for like a quick little brunch or something, but I already have a gazillion sandals for that. The Easy Spirit sandals from the last post were a definite keeper though—in fact I also bought them in black. The Easy Spirit sandals definitely met my criteria for being cute and comfy enough to wear all day. The sole has a good amount of thickness to it (though I would also look into getting a cushion-y insole for extra comfort) and as long as I’m not speed-walking or stomping, I can get through a whole day of tons of walking without my feet hurting. As a matter of fact, I wore these both days I went to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture in DC. I did speed walk in them one morning when I was walking from Penn Station to the Flatiron district trying to rush to a morning meeting. My feet were on FIRE after that :x But regular strides? Good to go.
They’re currently $41.01 (but do range in price depending on the size and color) and ship for free with Prime and have free returns on Amazon.com. Get them here.
I thought these were cute when I saw them on Amazon.com and they are cute, but I saw that they weren’t really my style when I got them in. They are well-made and seemed easy to walk in, but I did send them back because I couldn’t see myself wearing them often enough. They come in other shades though if you’re interested. Prices range depending on size and color starting at $13 with free 2-day Prime shipping and free returns. Get them here.
Listen, I know folks either really love or really hate Crocs BUT the pairs I’ve tried have felt like I was walking on cushioning clouds as I walked and so do these. They come in a few colors and are $28 at Amazon.com with free 2-day Prime shipping and free returns. Get them here. There’s an animal print version here.
Now, I would never really consider heels to be “comfortable,” but there are some that aren’t as bad as others. Comfort is of course subjective and I do own shoes that I give myself time limits on wearing and carry flats to change into. But these shoes as high up as they are (3.5″ heel with a 0.5″ platform) feel VERY walkable. Of course a platform helps add some comfort to a heel.
I may not be able to walk around in these ALL day, but they are more comfortable than a lot of the heels in my closet. These were gifted to me at the Coclico store during an Aveeno event. Get details on these here.
