My Who What Wear x Target Collection Dress

I’ve been on a HUGE clothes shopping hiatus. Well, at least it seemed huge to me…lol. I’m guessing the 2016 election results hit me harder than I thought because I gained back the weight I lost AND I had ZERO budget to buy new clothes. Most of my cute stuff is feeling a bit smedium so I’ve been really creative when it comes to getting dressed. I did allow myself a few purchases though—one of which is this dress from the Who What Wear collection from Target.

I can’t say that I’ve stalked the collection every single time one came out each season, but I feel like I’ve browsed through it enough to feel like this last spring/summer collection was one of the best if not the best one they’ve had so far. I bought a sleeveless army green trench from the first collection and still consider it a cute piece. I initially was able to steer clear of the clothing section at my Target even though I’m in the store at least three times a week because I have this thing where I buy groceries then get home and realize I forgot something and have to go back another day to get it. PLUS Target is WAY cheaper than my local grocery store so it works out. But I’d been using tunnel vision so I don’t even acknowledge that there’s a clothing section. I mean, especially after I was stalking the home section for my bedroom makeover.

But yeah, as what happens with most of us in these days of influencers, a blogger made me do it when it came to checking out this season’s Who What Wear x Target collection. Here I was minding my own business scrolling through InstaStories and here comes fine ass Beauticurve with her in-the-dressing-room story with some really cute pieces. I ordered from her link immediately and went to pick up the items in the store later that day. (Side note: fashion brands, ya’ll really should be making sure you reach out to bloggers of all sizes and shapes because we all know clothes look different on us. I wasn’t even checking for this dress until I saw Beauticurve rocking it).

AND it was on sale when I bought it AND I used my Target debit card and got my extra 5% off. YASSSSSS.

Now, I’m the queen of “I’m only buying things I can wear a gazillion times” and although I have worn this dress at least three times since I bought it, it’s not exactly something I might have around in 3-4 years but I don’t feel guilty about my purchase.

I also love that this dress will work no matter which hairstyle I decide to rock (you know how hairstyle can change an outfit). If you’re wondering about how the collection fits, I say you’d definitely need to try items on to ensure fit. I sized up in this dress because I needed room for my boobies.
