Beauty Products I’ve Finished (Vol 2)

Read ALL about my review process including how I take swatches, photos, and more here.

beauty products ive finished

Well, I guess we have ourselves a series here! Make sure you read the first Beauty Products I’ve Finished post which gives a ton of background info on this kind of post including why my not finishing a product doesn’t mean it wasn’t a good product.

Seriously, make sure you read it because I get a lot of folks confused or saying I said something I didn’t because they didn’t read the full story :/

Pantene Gold Series Moisture Boost Conditioner

pantene gold series moisture boost conditioner

I teamed up with Pantene Gold back in June to create some content around their new line for natural and relaxed hair. I had already been a fan of the line since they sent the product to me back in January and really got to use it when I took my weave break from March through August. I. LOVE. THIS. LINE. You can check out my review for my full thoughts and such and you’ll also see that I finished other products from the line in my last Beauty Products I’ve Finished post.

I use the Moisture Boost Conditioner sometimes how one would use a regular conditioner, but I mostly use it to prep my hair for shampoo. I section my hair into four and massage the conditioner in section by section using my fingers to detangle my hair. See this in action here.

I really love the Pantene Gold Series line, but of course as a beauty blogger I’ll more than likely try other hair product lines in the future as well. I would definitely buy this with my own money.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel SPF 15

This moisturizer combined my love of hydrating yet SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT moisturizers with my current love of using products with hyaluronic acid. And though it was sent to me by the brand, I also love that the price tag is cute (and even cuter if you catch a sale—heyyyy).

Now because I do have to change moisturizers when the seasons (or even just the day to day weather sometimes), I liked Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel mostly during winter and spring. I did use it sometimes when it got warmer out but only when it was around like 60 degrees (I have oily skin). Anything warmer than that and I could expect more shine and oiliness. (Read why you need to switch your moisturizers here).

I would definitely buy this with my own money.

Dr. Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Marine Oil-Free Moisture Cushion

Since I really liked the Dr. Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Marine Modeling Mask (see a demo here), I definitely had to try the Moisture Cushion when it came out. Read more about it here.

I really liked this—it’s lightweight, moisturizes well, and I could see a difference in the radiance in my skin thanks to all the moisture (oily skin STILL needs to be moisturized, folks). I would buy this again with my own money, but there is another nighttime moisturizer I want to try before I do.

Murad Advanced Acne & Wrinkle Reducer

I’ve written about the Murad Anti-Aging Acne line a few times before as I’ve gone through products in the collection at least 2-3 times since it first came out. You can read more about the line here. I use this off and on to both prevent and treat adult acne. I had to use it way more last year (read about that here) and although I wouldn’t need to rebuy this right now (*knock on wood*) because I’m in one of the “off” stages, I would definitely buy this with my own money when the need comes.
