Listen, I knew when I saw the homey Trina from The Baby Shopaholic rocking this Suakoko Betty Lango blouse, I NEEDED IT. First, I love prints. Second, this blouse has all the makings of a cinched silhouette: the frill design of the sleeves, the tie at the waist, and the tulip hem shape. It’s Cinch-City, baby!
I was lucky enough to have the blouse sent to me by the Black woman-owned brand, but I would definitely pay my own coinage for one. It’s SO good. It’s like the perfect statement piece but a classic that will go with anything from this pencil skirt I paired it with to jeans to shoot—you name it.
The wrap nature of this blouse makes it very flattering—it balances out those with bigger bust lines and yet adds a little something to those with smaller ones. The sleeves are very forgiving and the tulip hem can help to camouflage belly flab if need be.
