If you watched my How to Scam Your Way into a FAB Wardrobe video, you’ll know I broke it down on how you can look amazing—even score some designer pieces—without spending a ton. I call it a scam because even though it surely isn’t one, it feels like it when you’re getting a pretty good deal.
Take for instance these Stuart Weitzman over the knee wedge boots (they might as well be flat—the wedge isn’t high at all and so far they feel pretty comfy. Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots can run about $600 give or take a sale. I got these for $162 at Saks Off 5th. Now granted, though they are brand new meaning I’m the first owner—they aren’t the current Stuart Weitzman styles out this season. I do believe these first came out a few years ago and I’m guessing they had a surplus that didn’t sell out back then which is a win for me. They have a ton of pairs left (at least they do now) in all sorts of colors and sizes. Go here to check it out.
I LOVE an over the knee boot and since I wear flat ones pretty often, I figured it was a good time for me to look for a more durable brand (previously I was just getting them from JustFab which are still in pretty good condition considering how inexpensive they are). I’ve only had these Stuart Weitzman ones for a hot second so naturally I don’t have an opinion on long-term wear and things like that, but shoot, if I wear them at least ten times, my cost per wear is like $16 and I KNOW I’m going to wear these more than ten times.
I wore them into the city the other day which involved a lot of fast walking and while I could use one of those cushion insoles inside for all that fast walking, they thankfully didn’t hurt my feet. I would say these would be fine for me on a day when I’m not running for trains. I’d still add some sort of cushiony insole for added comfort though.
They are pull-on boots so keep that in mind if that’s a dealbreaker for you. They were also final sale when I got mine, but I googled a gazillion pictures of them before submitting my order to make sure I would like them…lol. I mean, I could have sold them on eBay or one of those fashion resale sites to recoup my money if they didn’t work out.
But yasss honey, I am happy for my little fashion “scam.” These boots can be styled with so much: jeans, skirts, sweater dresses, etc.
