Last weekend I had a photoshoot in my bedroom (wait, that sounds racier than what actually happened…lol), but I also shot some of my latest spring/summer fashions (watch my haul video at the end of this post to see what else I got). When I put on this dress, my photographer Rose (follow her here) asked if it was Mara Hoffman as she saw something very similar at a sample sale. I laughed because at this point in my budget I probably wouldn’t have been able to swing for even the sample sale Mara Hoffman frock…lol. But I do LOVE Mara Hoffman’s designs and her show was always one I looked forward to covering during NYFW and Miami Swim. However, I got my dress from the Who What Wear collection at TARGET!
So this dress is amazing for many reasons. 1. It’s a one-shoulder dress that doesn’t require a strapless bra (man, I HATE strapless bras. I own one that isn’t too bad but I HATE them for me and will avoid certain garments that require them…lol) 2. I had to use my imagination when I first saw it because without the belt it gives MAJOR Mrs. Roper from Three’s Company vibes 3. GURL, I picked this dress up along with some paper towels on a Target run and 4. It was only $32. Seriously, Target is like one of my favorite places in the world (and I’ve been to a LOT of places in the world…lol)
